The Señora Miriam restaurant, located in the heart of Ibiza, is the perfect spot for sampling the exotic flavours of Latin America and exploring this culinary art all the way from Ecuador. With a varied menu for just €9.90 from Monday to Friday, packed with delicious traditional home cooked recipes, the restaurant also offers an elaborate selection of à la carte dishes including Chaulafan, a classical recipe made from prawns, beef, chicken, pork and a selection of vegetables, all seasoned with soya sauce; or the encebollado, widely considered the star dish of Ecuadorian gastronomy, and which consists of a typical fish and onion soup from the coastal region, prepared with fresh albacore or tuna, yucca, onion, tomato, coriander and seasonings, and served with a good helping of ‘hardened’ onions (curtido de cebolla). The exquisite seafood rice is also a favourite with the regulars, as is the ceviche. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day except Mondays, when it closes at 16:00.
